The most interesting facts about real estate. We are pleased to continue our column about the most interesting and unusual facts, cases, and events in the world of real estate. Interesting facts about real estate: how are they doing?
If you conduct a social survey among the population on the topic: “What do you know about real estate?”, the citizens’ answers will be boring and banal. For most, real estate is associated with living or doing business, and this is largely true - and one of the best places to purchase such real estate could never be - the Gold Coast - houses on the seashore - unique white sandy beaches, a quiet coastline, special flora and fauna, and besides, amazing architectural buildings equipped with the most advanced technologies. However, this market segment has a lot of interesting facts that not everyone is familiar with.
Fact #1
Which country has the most expensive real estate? For a long time, the palm in terms of high cost of housing belonged to the capital of England, London. Considering the changed situation in the world today, buying an apartment in the city of Monte Carlo (Principality of Monaco) will hit your pocket hard. Here, the cost of one square meter of living space varies between $50,000. Moscow is in second place: apartments here are sold at a price of $22,000 per square meter. London now occupies third position in the world ranking of expensive housing, trailing the Russian capital by only a few hundred dollars. Next in descending order:
Tokyo.
-New York.
-Paris.
-Singapore.
-Milan.
-Mumbai.
Fact #2
Given the previous information, a logical question arises: “Where are the cheapest apartments in the world?” Here the first place is shared by Thailand and Egypt. For a luxury house with a swimming pool, which is located in Cairo, you will have to pay about $1,200. Cottages in Thailand are put up for sale even cheaper. However, the standard of living in these countries leaves much to be desired, so there are still few people willing to acquire real estate on the territory of these countries.
Fact #3
The most polluted settlement on the planet is Chernobyl (Ukraine). Then come the cities located in the Philippines and India. Russia ranks fourth in terms of pollution levels. It is followed by China, the USA and Romania. Experts assessed the degree of urban pollution using the following criteria:
Environmental factor.
-Number of diseases per capita.
-Child mortality.
-Presence of toxic substances in the air.
Fact #4
Some eccentric citizens are in a hurry to acquire a building plot, which is located on another planet. Now clever businessmen are actively selling the surfaces of the Moon, Venus, Mars and even Mercury. It is believed that this is a profitable offer, given the low cost of alien land - from 70 euros per square meter. The lucky owners of a plot on another planet hope to provide their descendants with a decent future. After all, humanity is already actively moving beyond the boundaries of its native atmosphere; accordingly, the given planets will someday be colonized. However, from a legal point of view, such an acquisition has no legal force. In addition, there is no guarantee that certificates confirming the fact of purchase are not issued to several buyers at once.
Basically, realtors use Facebook, try to support Instagram a little less often, and discussions on VKontakte are not so active.
We looked at about 70 accounts on different social networks. In the end they took it away 30 most active- those who share useful information with colleagues in the formats of photos, videos and text notes.
Then grades were given according to five criteria:
- Engagement, that is, the number of comments and likes.
- Feedback: does the realtor respond to comments.
- Personal posts: how interesting and useful they are for realtors or clients.
- Someone else's content: does he leave his opinion when reposting?
- Live broadcasts and other videos.
So let's begin.

At work Yulia Chuksina clients follow through Instagram. The main content in a realtor's account is video reviews and professional photographs of real estate, but there are also personal photographs. We lacked live customer comments and at least some engagement from subscribers.Publication from Realtor Yulia Chuksina⏩⏩⏩ (@makler.moscow.miel) Apr 11, 2017 at 10:32 PDT

Olesya Rudakova attends many events, so on her Facebook we saw many photo, video and text reports about trainings, seminars and other events in the real estate industry. Reviews of work from clients and colleagues are a big plus of her account. In the “about myself” column, we did not find information about where Olesya works, what city she is from, we only guessed from the records that she is a realtor.28th place
Page Oleg Sviridov We first found him on Facebook, and then found out that he also has an account on Instagram. The realtor shared the news with his subscribers: “For the first time, the video received more than 28,000 views,” adding screenshots from Instagram, so we decided to stop on his page on this social network. The account has a lot of advertising and little text that would engage the subscriber. We advise you to write in your own words with a minimum set of selling words, since Instagram takes this factor into account and hides such posts from subscribers. Oleg posts three posts a day - this is not much for Instagram, but it turned out to be a lot for us to find his video with 28 thousand views.Publication from Oleg Sviridov (@sviridov_real_estate) Apr 11 2017 at 10:50 PDT

A selfie with a satisfied client is a great idea we found in the account Maria Kashapova. The realtor talks about his workdays, advises clients on current issues and writes reviews of books. The page looks alive due to photographs with Maria and other people in the frame. We recommend working on the design of infographics and photographs with overlaid text.

Many people know Vyacheslav Sorokin as an “energetic St. Petersburg realtor” who runs a blog of the same name. Although his posts on social networks do not receive many likes and comments, his blog is very popular. We also found many reviews about his work on his VKontakte wall.18th place
Igor Tulin runs her own channel on YouTube and writes engaging posts on Facebook. We liked the section “Moscow Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” with interesting stories from the history of the city. By the way, he gives practical advice on maintaining a realtor’s page on social networks.

Realtor Lyubov Golubeva for a healthy lifestyle. On his Facebook profile he writes about healthy eating, fitness, but also does not forget about development in the real estate sector. We found numerous photographic evidence of her participation in trainings and conferences. Lyubov also supported the #whatrealtordoes flash mob on her page, for which she wrote notes about the real estate business.16th place
Olga Klekova maintains her Facebook account in style: beautiful photographs, attractive post design, interestingly written texts. Therefore, there are enough comments for each entry. An original approach to writing advertisements for the sale or rental of real estate is also attractive.15th place
Stanislav Galkin attracted attention by writing to our employee in the comments on VKontakte. We immediately looked at his page: he writes informatively, with a sense of humor. Here we found stories about family and discussions about work - it looks advantageous. And by the way, he has more comments on Facebook than on VKontakte.
14th place
Chip Elena Glushkova- photographs, videos and 360-degree panoramas of the city, apartments, events. In one of the posts, she even played hide and seek with her subscribers: she posted a 360-degree photo and asked them to find her in a half-empty apartment. Subscribers liked this interactive experience. We also appreciated her personal website and ad texts, which, by the way, are not written according to a template.13th place
Andrey Krasnov prefers the video format: conducts webinars and live broadcasts on Facebook. On average, it gets 200-300 views per video. The realtor has his own website and even a Telegram channel, where he writes current news about the real estate market. There is a lot of useful information here for beginning realtors.

Real estate is anything that is firmly connected to the ground and that cannot be moved. This is the meaning of this word - however, real estate also includes sea vessels and space objects, so real estate can be quite movable!
The world of real estate is a dynamic field filled with interesting facts, many of which are little known. We’ll tell you about these facts today.
Did you know that in one of the cities of Germany there is a very prestigious area, on the roads of which it is forbidden to drive a car, and this ban applies at the legislative level. What kind of transport do city residents use? Only on bicycles. Garages have been built around the pedestrian zone, where owners leave their cars and continue moving along the streets on foot or by bicycle. Due to its ecological cleanliness, this area is very popular among citizens. For Germans, clean air is clearly more important than ease of movement around the city.
Houses can be built anywhere. And as it turned out, even in the parking lot. One enterprising Japanese man from Tokyo decided to save money on housing construction. And he built a three-story house on the parking lot. The Japanese resorted to such a trick because the housing problem in the capital of Japan is very acute. He bought a 30 square meter parking space and built a compact house on it. As a result, the cost of building the house amounted to about 500 thousand dollars, which is very inexpensive by Japanese standards. One can only marvel at the resourcefulness of this man.
There are many monuments. And they are dedicated to anyone and anything. In Russia, in Yekaterinburg, there is a monument to a realtor. It is located near the local real estate agency. The bronze composition is called "Realtor and dog". A bronze realtor sits on a bench with a laptop and talks on the phone. Yes, the main working tools of any real estate agent are the telephone and the Internet, thanks to which work is organized. On the Internet today there are many sites through which you can rent and rent housing, get advice from an experienced agent and choose exactly what you need, for example, on the website http://selims.ru/arenda/Novosibirsk you can easily find housing. In addition to the realtor, the memorable composition includes a bronze dog, who looks devotedly at his owner. On the screen of a laptop that a person is holding in his hands, symbols indicating profit are visible.
Interesting story about the "shovel house". It is located in the village of Usovo on the famous Rublyovka and is a small building adjacent to a potato field. This hut really annoys the rich neighbors, so they tried to buy this house and offered the owners a lot of money for it, just to compete. As a result, the price of the house rose to five million dollars. However, the owners of the house firmly refused to sell it, deciding that it would be more profitable to sell the potatoes they grow to rich neighbors at a speculative price - ten times more expensive than on the Moscow market. This is a market economy.
We will devote our today's review to striking foreign facts. And let's start, perhaps, with France.
1. One hundred years is not the limit.
The story that happened to the French woman Jeanne Calment can be considered completely unique. In 1965, when Zhanna (the owner of the property) was already 90 years old, she decided sell the apartment according to the reverse mortgage principle. The 47-year-old (which is important) buyer agreed to pay a monthly amount until the death of the owner. The payment amount was determined based on the full repayment of the cost of the apartment over 10 years. As a result, Kalman lived to be 122 years old, outliving the buyer of her apartment by 2 years. Thus, Zhanna earned three times more than expected for her apartment. At the same time, she explained her secret of longevity by her love of olive oil, port wine and chocolate.
2. Holiday city.
In the US state of Florida there is a utopian city called Celebration. In 1995, this place, which has no analogues, was imagined and created by Walt Disney himself. In this unique city, the houses are similar to each other, there are no specks on the streets, there are no poor people, and everything is subject to discipline. This is a prosperous world that the great storyteller managed to bring to life. In order to live here you need to pay from 300 thousand to 1.5 million dollars and follow simple rules that were invented by Disney. Education, a healthy lifestyle and communication are encouraged here, and, of course, family comes first. Today, Celebration is a town of about 6,000 people who can afford it because prices in the holiday town are sky-high.
3. Buy or rent?
Most German residents prefer
