Transport card nfc. All about the Troika transport card. Thanks to the app, you can
Well, I believed, ran to the operator to change the SIM card. Changed, connected the service, replenished the balance, I go so happy to the subway. I didn’t approach the turnstile right away, I decided to check the balance. Fortunately, on Arbatskaya, unlike Altufyevo, the terminal hangs. Works! Reads!
Happy I go to the turnstile, but he does not let me in. And the second does not let. And generally does not let any. Sausages him, the inscription "apply again" blinks, but stands to death. The attendants and the policeman look unkind. That is, it reads normally from the phone, but cannot write off. This is high technology. On the Troika website, you can also find a list of supported devices, of course, not the same as the previous one, but that's okay. The shit is that the department of transport, which cheerfully reports on the successes, forgot to tell us before buying a device at the price of a used Zhiguli that not everything is as smooth as it sings to us in its press releases.
Another thing that I don’t understand at all, how can this be: Galaxy Edge is supported, but Galaxy Edge + is not. More precisely, I can come up with an explanation, but as a consumer, I absolutely do not understand, I do not want to understand, and I am absolutely sure that this should not be so. It is clear that with some kind of firmware they will fix the problem, but why not do this BEFORE the device enters the market? Today I downloaded another update - no, they didn’t fix it.
The next morning I checked it on my Sony Z3 + dual - absolutely everything works: it reads the card, online wallet replenishes, writes down tickets and, most importantly, lets you into the metro unquestioningly, regularly writing off thirty.
Yesterday, people wrote to me that a bunch of common phones do not support any of the listed services. With a huge number of smartphone models and all sorts of no-name devices, with constantly updated firmware, all these lists are meaningless and never fully correspond to reality. All this, with vigorous reports from the capital's officials, creates the impression of some kind of amazing mess, in which device manufacturers also take an active part.
P.S. The funny thing, but quite in the spirit of a mess, is that on the Mosgtrtrans website there is not a word about paying by mobile or replenishing the universally accepted Troika. But there is a page about paying with PayPass cards, which is valid on as many as 6 (SIX) bus routes and nowhere else.
P.P.S. Muscovite readers, if you use or have tried to use transport mobile services, please unsubscribe in the comments whether your phone reads the Troika card and whether it supports Mobile Ticket.

Have you ever heard an announcement on the escalator that you can buy tickets in advance in order to avoid standing in lines at the windows where metro employees sell tickets?
Those who use only land transport are forced to go down to the subway to replenish the Troika - you see, it’s not very convenient.
With the new “My Travel Card” application from the Bank of Moscow, you really no longer have to waste time in queues, or, once again trying to get into the metro, face the fact of a zero balance on transport map"Troika".
It should be noted separately that this is really the first such application that allows not only to read the balance of any transport card (not only Troika, but also a regular ticket with a chip sold for urban surface transport and the metro), but also to purchase a ticket and immediately record it to an existing travel card.
The development of the finished application took a little time, since we quickly created a prototype, and it took more time to customize the solution to work properly on various phone models.
The most critical functions related to linking a bank card, making a payment on it and working with a client profile were done quickly by us, as this is a well-established and stabilized functionality.

With the rise in popularity payment system Apple Pay the demands of its users are also growing. Want to pay with convenient service wherever possible, including in transport. Is it possible to pay with Apple Pay on the subway, how to digitize a payment card and put it into the phone - these questions are often asked by iPhone owners. Let's try to answer them.
Is it possible to pay in the metro with an iPhone
The Apple Pay payment system appeared in Russia in 2016. But the possibility of paying for travel in the subway with its help has become available to users April 2019 only. And then, with some restrictions:
- Paying with Apple Pay is possible only in the subways of Moscow and St. Petersburg;
- payment is supported only by turnstiles with square-shaped sensors.
But it's a big step forward anyway. In addition, the restrictions are more than offset by the benefits of using a payment service:
- settlement with help from Apple Pay can be made not only at turnstiles, but also at ticket offices and metro terminals;
- devices necessary for using Apple Pay are installed at all metro stations;
- when buying a ticket in this way, there is a 20% discount on travel.
In the near future, it is planned to introduce support for the Apple payment service in the subways of Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk. At the time of this writing (beginning of 2019), there is no such possibility, but we advise residents of these cities to follow the news.
By the way! The good news for owners of Android smartphones is that you can also pay using the Samsung Pay app in the subways of both capitals.
How to buy a subway ticket on an iPhone
Paying for Apple Pay metro is exactly the same as paying for any other purchase using this payment service. If you use an iPhone or iPad, the algorithm of actions will be as follows:
- open the Wallet app;
- select the desired card;
- bring the gadget to the turnstile sensor or terminal at the checkout;
- put your finger on the fingerprint scanner;
- wait for the confirmation of the transaction.
To pay using iWatch, you will need to double-tap the button on the side of the watch case and bring it to the reader at the turnstile or at the checkout so that the watch screen is facing the device. As soon as the fare is paid, the clock will vibrate, indicating the successful completion of the operation.
Important! For payment, you can use any bank cards stored in the memory of your gadget.
Linking a transit card to Apple Pay
Residents of the capitals who often use public transport usually use the Troika card to pay for travel. This means of payment has long become familiar and convenient. Therefore, the question often arises of how to add a Troika card to Apple Pay in order to continue using it through a smartphone.
Alas, there is no way to add a transport card to the gadget's memory. Apple Service Pay is designed to work exclusively with Visa and MasterCard bank cards. And Troika is not a bank card and, accordingly, does not meet the necessary conditions for linking to a payment service:
- the card does not belong to any payment system;
- Troika number does not match numbering standards bank cards(11 characters instead of 12);
- Troika does not have a security code;
- the card does not have a fixed expiration date (it is valid for 5 years after the last use).
That is, even if you try to digitize it, you just fill in the appropriate fields in Wallet. So, even despite the presence of a modern payment service in your phone or watch, you will have to use the Troika card in kind.
In this review, I want to talk about " mobile ticket“, since many people ask what it is, why and how to connect it. What is a Mobile Ticket? This, roughly speaking, is a Troika card, which is recorded directly in the SIM card of the phone. In order to take public transport, it is enough to put the phone to the turnstile - and voila, the passage is free.
But there are several conditions, namely:
- NFC-enabled SIM card
- NFC phone
In order to use a mobile ticket, you first need an NFC-enabled SIM card. You need to come to the office of your operator, and not every office has it, or order through their official website.
I have a Megafon SIM card, and using Megafon as an example, I will tell you about a mobile ticket. Everything will be the same for the other operator. Here we have NFC indicated, respectively, they change your SIM card for a new one for free, the number remains, all services remain.
After you have received a SIM card, insert it into the phone. The phone must also have NFC, and not every phone supports the Mobile Ticket - a list of supported ones can be seen on the official website of the Troika card.
So, we inserted a SIM card and first of all we go into applications, select Megafon. Here we see the item "Mobile ticket".
We press, we look at the balance - 54 units, state: on, auto-replenishment is off. We can turn it off from here, we can see information about the service.
By default, if we are talking about Megafon, the balance should be 150 rubles. If it falls below 90 rubles, it is automatically replenished from the mobile phone account to 150 rubles. Personally, I turned off auto-replenishment, you can also do it, but it's more convenient to leave it so that it is always on.
In order to top up a mobile ticket manually, you need to send an SMS to 3210 with the word "Payment" and indicate the amount in rubles, or write "Troika" and the amount in rubles. The money will be taken directly from your phone balance.
For the price - absolutely the same as at Troika, i.e. there are no differences, replenishment of the balance without any interest, a very convenient thing.
As for the cases if your phone is dead. On some phones, for about an hour after it is discharged, the residual voltage on the NFC antenna remains, as it is written, i.e. The mobile ticket will still work for some time. But this is probably the only nuance - if the phone has sat down and has not worked for you for a long time, then you will not be able to go through the Mobile Ticket.
In other respects, it is extremely convenient, and not only in the subway, but also when paying for travel on buses - just put your phone on the turnstile.
Regarding the devices I checked, in the case of Samsung, you can check the balance by putting the phone to the reader, but you won’t be able to get on the subway. The turnstile starts beeping, ringing. In the case of HTC-10, I checked - everything works.
Here is such a thing, really very convenient, I use it. So, if you suddenly didn’t know about it, although it has already existed for quite a long time, then draw it up. In any case, after changing the SIM card, you will not lose anything, since the number will be saved, the connected services will also be saved, just an additional item "Mobile ticket" will be added.
