All rooms in the apartments are made insulated, almost all the interior walls are load-bearing. In three room apartments the wall separating the room adjacent to the kitchen from the corridor is self-supporting, it cannot be touched. Corner three- and four-room apartments have dark rooms. Odnushki are deprived of balconies and loggias, which are present in all other apartments.
The area of apartments in P-3M is from 35 sq.m (one-room apartment) to 105 sq.m (four-room apartment), and kitchens are 9-10 sq.m.

Houses of the P-3M series are a modified version of the P-3 (from 1975 to 1998.) and were often built as social housing with additional insulation of the outer walls. Since 2010, on the basis of the series, two modifications have been developed: P-3M-7/23 - a modification with an increased (from 19 to 23) number of floors, a third elevator and increased areas of apartments and P-3MS - a "social" modification - with the same wider rooms and more modern facades.
The color scheme of the external walls is varied: white with beige, yellow, light green, blue, pink, orange, brown. Houses have been facing tiles since 2010.
In houses of the P-3M series, the number of floors varies from 8 to 17. The first floor is residential and non-residential. The number of entrances is from 1 or more. Each entrance has elevators: one passenger with a carrying capacity of 350 kg. And one cargo-passenger with a carrying capacity of 500 kg.
Number of apartments on floor 4. All rooms in apartments of houses of the P-3M series are isolated. One-room apartments have a living area of 14-18 m², a kitchen of 9-10 m²; in two-room living room 32-34 m², kitchen 9-10 m²; in three-room apartment 43-50 m², kitchen 10 m²; in four-room apartment 63-66 m², kitchen 10 m². Corner 3- and 4-room apartments have dark rooms / storage rooms.

Internal inter-apartment walls: Transverse - precast reinforced concrete panels 14 cm thick, longitudinal - precast reinforced concrete panels 18 cm thick. The outer walls are three-layer panels with an effective insulation 30 cm thick. The gypsum concrete partitions are 8 cm. The ceilings are hollow-free reinforced concrete slabs 14 cm thick. Load-bearing walls- all inter-apartment and most inter-room (for example, in three-room apartments, as opposed to a family series P-44, the wall between the larger room and the corridor is also load-bearing). The longitudinal wall between rooms in three- and four-room apartments is load-bearing.
Advantages: they have increased thermal insulation, built-in wardrobes, as well as an automatic smoke exhaust system. Apartments in such houses are rented out already finished. Disadvantages: almost all walls are load-bearing.
Panel house series P-3M is not included in the list of demolished, the probability of demolition, even in the long term, is small.
