A: It's hard to say here, because not every brand will disseminate information about their effective business promotion tools. Nevertheless, I can say that most large companies with a developed loyalty system use mobile loyalty cards, for example, Hugo Boss, Starbucks, Perekrestok and others, which means that these cards work and people use this service. It is worth noting that the release of the cards themselves for the brand is practically reduced to zero costs, since the development of plastic and delivery to its user in the classical scheme must go through a number of intermediaries such as the Russian Post (card logistics), a plastic manufacturer, etc., which essentially reflects on time costs and loss of user loyalty. The rule "here and now" loses its meaning in this case.

But after all, each company has its own system of discounts and bonuses, how can such a system fit completely different formats?

A: There are many types of mobile loyalty cards, the development and integration takes into account the specifics of the client’s business and, of course, the loyalty scheme itself: accumulative, bonus, etc. The most common standard types of mobile loyalty cards are tickets, boarding passes, a one-time coupon system, seasonal passes, personal bonus cards, discount accumulation systems, library cards and much more. In addition to restaurants, it was necessary to look at other formats of institutions - for example, from the field of beauty and health. So I looked into the clinic Lancet Center. A wide variety of aesthetic (cosmetology) procedures are performed here, and clients belong to the wealthy middle class. An ideal habitat for iPhones of all colors and sizes :)

The manager of the salon talked to me about the Passbook Dmitry Babin, a reader of our site and a satisfied owner of a large iPhone. With a skillful approach, each card in Passbook turns into a small "promoter" of your company's services and products. Just like a branded iOS app from your favorite restaurant. Think of the e-card not as a "map" but as a "beacon". Or a horn. Using Passbook, business gets the opportunity to notify the client about any promotions, special offers, emergency situations, and so on! The effectiveness of this method of communication exceeds that of any other mailing, and the client himself does not feel deceived, which is incredibly important. On the contrary, he receives information that is of interest to him: otherwise he would not have come to you and saved your card in Passbook!

Features of the Passbook standard allow companies to obtain statistics on the effectiveness of electronic loyalty cards. For example, OSMICards displays how many people have installed an electronic card, who has already deleted it from their smartphone or, on the contrary, left it and opens it from time to time. Interestingly, Passbook supports and geo-targeting. E-card holders from a certain company will receive special alerts when they appear near strictly marked positions on the map. What there is not much to change is the content of the page that opens before adding the Passbook card. Apple forbids changing the font, height, words, and in general all the content of this page that follows the button "Add to Passbook". You can't change the button either. All that is allowed to be modified is the top block of text. And even there you can’t fix the terrible formatting of the template from the Cupertinos. Sorry, but there's nothing you can do about it. How to add a card to Wallet on iPhone? This is a fairly simple task. Especially if you follow a small instruction.

It looks like this:

1. Find the Wallet app on your mobile device and launch it.
2. Go to the Pay section.
3. Click on the "Add payment card" button.
4. Enter information from AppleID. Usually a password is required.
5. Confirm login.
6. Place bank plastic in the frame that appears on the screen. You can use manual entry. To do this, you will have to click on the line "Enter manually".
7. Click on "Next".

That's all. Now it remains only to wait for the compatibility check and click on "Next" again. Additional information will appear on the screen, which each person should familiarize themselves with. From now on, plastic will work using the Apple Pay system.

iPad and Wallet

Not only on smartphones from Apple, it is possible to activate Wallet. You can bring your idea to life on iPads. In this case, you will have to act a little differently than what was suggested earlier.

How to add a card to Wallet? You will need to do the following:

1. Go to the "Settings" section.
2. Select Apple Pay and Wallet.
3. Click on "Add...".
4. Enter the data of the selected plastic.

Apple Watch

It's hard to believe, but Apple Watch also supports Apple Pay. But how do you add a card to Wallet?

2. Open "My watch".

We figured out how to add cards to iPhone Wallet. But how can they be used?

If the point of sale has support for Apple Pay, a person can simply pick up the phone, launch the appropriate application and bring the "apple" device to the reader. Within a few seconds, the payment will be made.

Is it possible to add several bank cards to "Vallet"? Yes. In this case, you will have to follow the previously proposed instructions. When paying bills, Apple Pay will prompt you to select the plastic from which the funds will be debited.

Now it's clear how to work with Wallet iPhone. In reality, everything is much simpler than it seems.

The only device with which a person will not be able to work through "Vallet" is the iPod. With such devices, the addition of plastic cards is simply incompatible. And no tricks and secrets will help eliminate this feature.

Every year more and more banks in Russia begin to support Apple Pay and Wallet. Therefore, soon almost any plastic can be added to the appropriate application.

Add passes to Passbook. Once you've installed the app you want, you can start adding them to Passbook. Just remember that not every service uses the Passbook feature. If you do not see the option to use Passbook, then the program does not support it. But if passes are still available to you, you can add them to your phone in three main ways:

• Through an app that supports Passbook. If you're using Passbook to buy tickets, check a flight, buy a gift certificate, or complete a money transfer, the app will prompt you to add your pass to Passbook. To use this offer, find it by first tapping on Passbook, or by finding this app on the home screen.
• Via email or message. You can also send or receive a pass as an attachment or a link sent via email or text message. Scan the code to add a pass. If you have a physical barcode to pass, you can scan it and add them to your Passbook. This is especially useful for tickets that are not automatically added. To scan the code, click on the "Scan Code" link at the top of the Passbook home page. Point the camera at the barcode you want to scan and hold the camera steady.

Use Apple Pay on your Apple Watch to shop at stores that support contactless payments. Just set up Apple Pay in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and you can shop even if you don't have your iPhone with you.

You can add up to eight credit or debit cards, including store cards; they will appear on top of the stack of other cards in Wallet.

If you unpair your Apple Watch, turn off your passcode, or turn off wrist recognition, you won't be able to use Apple Pay, and any cards you've added to Wallet will be removed.

Set up Apple Pay on Apple Watch. Open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, tap My Watch, and select Wallet & Apple Pay. If you've already listed a supported card for the iTunes Store or App Store, you can enter that card's security code. Select the default card. In the Apple Watch app on iPhone, tap My Watch > Wallet & Apple Pay > Default Card, then choose a card.

Payment for purchases. Double-click the side button, swipe to select a card, then hold your Apple Watch close to the contactless card terminal so that the watch display is a few inches from the terminal. You will feel a light touch and hear a beep when the payment information is sent.

Find the device account number for the card. When you pay with your Apple Watch, the device account number for the card is sent to the merchant with the payment. To find the last four or five digits of that number, open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, tap My Watch > Wallet & Apple Pay, then select your card.

Removing a card from Apple Pay. Open Wallet on Apple Watch, tap to select a card, tap the card, and choose Delete. Or, open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, tap My Watch > Wallet & Apple Pay, tap your card, and choose Delete.

If your Apple Watch is lost or stolen. If your Apple Watch is lost or stolen, sign in to your iCloud.com account and turn off the ability to pay with debit or credit cards in Wallet. Go to Settings > My Devices, select your device, and click Remove All. In addition, you can contact your card issuers.

Use of discount cards

If you have a store discount card, you can add it to Wallet and then swipe it to a contactless terminal when you pay with your Apple Watch.

How to add a discount card. Look for the Add to Apple Wallet button in an email or website.

After you pay with Apple Pay and provide your loyalty card information, your iPhone may ask you to add the card as a loyalty card. Swipe on the notification, then tap Add.

Using a discount card When prompted to provide your loyalty card information (and the Apple Pay logo is displayed), double-click the side button, swipe to select the payment card you want, then hold your Apple Watch close to a contactless terminal so that the watch display is a few centimeters from the terminal.

Your loyalty card information will be listed along with your credit or debit card information if the store supports this feature.

Some stores require you to present your loyalty card separately from your credit or debit card. Follow the cashier's instructions at the time of payment.

Use your discount card with Apple Pay without making a purchase. Double-click the side button, swipe to access your loyalty card, then hold your Apple Watch close to the terminal.

Using Wallet for passes and tickets

With Wallet on Apple Watch, you can store your passes, including boarding passes, tickets, loyalty cards, and more in one place. Cards in Wallet on iPhone are automatically synced to Apple Watch (if you've turned on iPhone Repeat in the Apple Watch app). Scan your card on your Apple Watch to check in for a flight, go to a movie, or redeem a coupon. To set preferences for your cards on Apple Watch, open the Apple Watch app on iPhone and choose My Watch > Wallet & Apple Pay.

How to add a pass. Follow the instructions in the email you received from the card company, open their app, and tap "Add" on the notification.

Use of the card. If your Apple Watch asks you to use a map, tap it to show the map. You may need to scroll the screen to find the barcode. Or open Wallet , select a card, then swipe the barcode at the terminal.

Changing the order of cards. Open the Wallet app on iPhone and drag and drop cards to arrange them in the order you want. The cards will appear in the new order on your Apple Watch as well.

Don't need a card anymore? Delete the card on iPhone. Open Wallet, select a card, tap , then tap Delete.
