BUILDING STANDARDS
LAND RECOVERY REGULATIONS
FOR MAIN WATER PIPELINES AND
SEWER COLLECTORS
Date of introduction 1974-02-01
DEVELOPED by the Institute "Kharkov Vodokanalproekt" Gosstroy of the USSR.
INTRODUCED by the Institute "Kharkov Vodokanalproekt" of the USSR State Construction Committee.
AGREED with the USSR Ministry of Agriculture and the USSR State Forestry Agency.
APPROVED BY The State Committee Council of Ministers of the USSR for Construction Affairs on December 28, 1973.
1. These standards establish the width of land strips for main water pipelines and sewers, as well as dimensions land plots for placing wells and switching chambers of the indicated water conduits and sewer collectors.
Notes: 1. Land strips for main underground water pipelines and
sewers are necessary for temporary short-term
use for the period of their construction, and land plots for placement
wells and switching chambers - for indefinite (permanent) use.
2. Width of land strips for main elevated and surface water pipelines and
sewer collectors is determined by a project approved in
established order.
3. The main water pipelines include pipelines for supplying water from
water intake facilities to consumers (settlements, enterprises and
other objects), to the main sewers - pipelines
to divert Wastewater from consumers to places of discharge of these waters.
2. When choosing, allotting and using land for main water pipelines and sewers, the Fundamentals of Land Legislation of the USSR and the Union Republics, the Basic Provisions for the Restoration of Land Disturbed during the Development of Mineral Deposits, Geological Exploration, Construction and Other Works, and other relevant regulations.
3. The width of the land strips for the period of construction of main underground water pipelines and sewer collectors should be established according to the table.
4. The dimensions of land plots for placing wells and switching chambers for main underground water pipelines and sewers should be no more than: for a well - 3x3 m, for a switching chamber - 10x10 m.
5. The use of land above the main underground water pipelines and sewer collectors for the intended purpose should be carried out by land users in compliance with measures to ensure the safety of water pipelines and sewer collectors.
