How to insulate a metal pavilion? Here is a general scheme for the complex decoration of such a room:
- A moisture-resistant protective film is attached to metal surfaces.
- The entire shopping pavilion along the perimeter is equipped with a frame made of coniferous timber so that the thickness of the timber is equal to the thickness of the material with which you plan to insulate the room.
- Insulation (Isover mineral wool 100 mm, polystyrene, etc.) is placed in the crate cells.
- The insulation layer and the frame are covered with a vapor barrier film.
- From the inside, the trade pavilion (walls and ceiling) is faced with 16 mm thick laminated chipboard or PVC panels.
- The floor can be insulated with multi-layer flooring, including such components as coniferous wood with a thickness of at least 25 mm, roofing material sheets, chipboard furniture boards and linoleum.
- The final stage is the installation of electrics: double Euro-standard sockets, a switch, an electrical panel with an RCD, fluorescent lamps LPO 2x40.
Polyurethane foam application
Today, polyurethane foam is the most profitable, both in price and in quality, material for the complex insulation of metal trade pavilions. This material is sprayed directly onto the base of the roof, foundations and ceilings, as well as on walls, floors and ceilings.
Speaking about how to insulate a stand-alone shopping pavilion with a metal floor, walls and ceiling with polyurethane foam, one cannot fail to note the advantages of this heat-insulating material:
- the thermal conductivity index of polyurethane foam is at the level of 0.028 W / m * deg, and the thermal conductivity of extruded (solid) polyurethane foam is 0.03 W / m * deg, and this is not the limit;
- polyurethane foam is durable and resistant to wear;
- components of polyurethane foam do not require special preparation for use and actively react already at room temperature (25-30 ° C);
- polyurethane foam is absolutely non-toxic, does not rot even in a waterlogged environment, and also does not allow rodents and harmful microorganisms to settle inside the thermal insulation;
- installation of polyurethane foam does not require special preliminary surface treatment, including leveling. The foam fills all cracks, cracks and cavities, after hardening, forming a monolithic coating without joints, and therefore with a minimum probability of deformation and destruction during operation.
- the approximate service life of polyurethane foam insulation is 25 years, provided that the integrity of the coating is preserved;
- polyurethane foam does not support self-combustion, which is very important from the point of view of fire safety.
To insulate a trade pavilion with polyurethane foam means to save yourself from the need to use additional steam, moisture and electrical insulating materials and means of protection against corrosion and wind. The internal structure of foamed polyurethane foam in the form of many small cells is an insurmountable barrier to moisture, and also maintains a comfortable microclimate inside the pavilion both in hot and cold weather. In addition, such insulation needs to be repaired much less frequently.
Alternative options
Styrofoam. This insulation is usually mounted outside the room, so it is recommended to protect it with a special membrane that protects it from mechanical damage.
Glass wool
This material is used in cases where foam insulation is unacceptable, for example, if the pavilion is made using corrugated board of a dark shade. Such a coating will heat up significantly in the hot season, therefore, foam is not suitable as a heater. Glass wool should be covered with a vapor barrier from the inside and protected from wind and moisture outside. It is possible to use basalt mineral wool, but this option is more expensive.
We equip the trade pavilion with a vestibule
It is very useful and convenient to equip it with a small vestibule when erecting a pavilion. Its space will serve as a kind of air cushion between the external environment and the indoor microclimate, that is, the cold air will warm up before it enters the pavilion directly. It is recommended to finish the walls and ceiling of the vestibule with an artificial felt covering.
Of course, in the most severe frosts, the use of heating devices inside the pavilion cannot be avoided. These can be heaters or several incandescent lamps. A more expensive, but also more effective method of heating a retail space is equipment that uses infrared radiation for heating (films or metal panels). However, your costs will certainly pay off, since such devices will significantly save energy.
Most of the kiosks are metal frame structures consisting of shaped pipes, corners, channel bars. The frame is a kind of skeleton of the kiosk. It must be rigid in order to withstand the load during construction, transportation.
Lower frame chord (base). Corners are used if the width of the kiosk is 3 meters or less. If the width of the kiosk is more than 3 meters, a channel is used. At the base, there is an additional crossbar for every meter for greater rigidity.
Frame racks (pillars). The most commonly used corners. The main ones are placed in the corners - 4 pieces. All metal structures are connected by welding.
The frame is of two types, depending on what the walls will be made of. First type: prefabricated sandwich panel wall - frameless. Second type: prefabricated sandwich panel - frame (layer-by-layer production). First, a frame made of timber is placed, then the outside is sheathed with any facing material. A wind-moisture-protective film is stretched under the cladding. On the inside there is insulation, which is covered with a vapor-insulating film. All this is closed by interior wall decoration.
When installing walls by means of a layer-by-layer assembly, additional posts from a profile pipe are installed in the place of the doorway device to stiffen the doorway. When installing walls by means of sandwich panels, the frame is the corners with the installation of frames from the corners in the places of the window openings. A closed frame is made from the corners for the entire window. Also done on the door.
Top chord of the frame (base for the roof) It is made from a corner or channel, depending on the size of the kiosk (pavilion). Beam - a lintel of the upper chord. Placed on every meter. Most often it is made from a profile pipe. Additional timber beams are also installed. It plays the role of a crate, and is a support for prof. flooring.
Floor. The lowest layer of the floor is galvanized prof. sheet. Insulation is laid on it - expanded polystyrene. Next, a board is placed as a subfloor. On it a leveling chipboard screed. The coating is laid on it - linoleum, laminate, etc. All this is fixed with a plinth.
Overlapping. Facing material - prof. Flooring, plastic panels. Next is a frame made of timber, on which all this is attached. The beam cells form a beam net and are filled with insulation. From above, everything is covered with profiled sheet, galvanized or painted.
As you can see, making a kiosk or pavilion with your own hands is not the easiest thing. It is necessary to purchase a large amount of materials, find a place suitable for manufacturing, protected from precipitation, so that water does not get inside during assembly, from which the insulation becomes unusable. You need to have some experience in order to weld all the seams with high quality, properly insulate the walls, roof and floor, and install wind protection. All these works must be done with high quality, as this is a guarantee that your kiosk or pavilion will be warm in winter, which means it will be economical.
But the most valuable resource is time. Experienced craftsmen can make a kiosk in less than 10 days, while an inexperienced builder can take a month or more. Time is very important in any business, and when building a kiosk it is very expensive, because the sooner the kiosk starts working, the sooner it will be profitable.

By the number of sections, you need to be guided by the size of the mobile structure. However, experienced beekeepers do not recommend doing more than 20 sections, due to the fact that the bees will interfere with each other.
It is not easy to make a pavilion for bees with your own hands, because for this you need to be able to use equipment for cutting metal, fastening and tightening tools. What you need:
- welding tools;
- jack;
- levels;
- project drawing;
- a cargo trailer, preferably not heavy (preferably ZIL, IF);
- wooden bars;
- metal for the frame of the bee pavilion;
- fiberboard sheets;
- boards (can also be replaced with disassembled pallets);
- roofing material;
- nails, screws, paints, door and window hinges.

The problem is not how to make a bee enclosure. The problem is in the paperwork for the pavilion, I mean the mobile one. There are so many obstacles in the design that you don't want honey. Well, the last obstacle is the native traffic police. Interestingly, everyone is acting strictly according to the law.
I would advise making a pavilion based on modern technologies, i.e. using three-layer sandwich panels. Outside, such a panel is a metal profile of 0.5 mm steel sheet, then a filler made of expanded polystyrene or polyurethane. The inner layer is made of a flat steel sheet or the same metal profile with a ridge height of 8 mm. If someone is confused by the metal inside the pavilion, you can use either cellular polycarbonate or a plastic panel or OSB panel (this is a little heavier). With this design, no spacers, heavy steel or wood beams are needed for the frame.
Having a loading platform, such a structure from ready-made panels can be assembled in 1 day. If assembled and glued from semi-finished products, it will take a little more time. But the design will turn out to be tough, durable and lightweight.
