What is the name of the Sberbank program from the phone card. Android Pay at Sberbank. How to pay for purchases using Apple Pay
Modern technologies expanded the functionality of smartphones, now it is not only mobile devices for communication between people. A method has been developed that makes it possible to use the device for payments in shops, cafes, etc. Today, you can pay by phone instead of a Sberbank card, leaving your usual payment instruments at home, in almost any store. To access the function, follow the instructions below.
How to set up NFC for payment with a Sberbank card
To be able to carry out contactless transactions, purchase a mobile phone with the NFC function and take the bank card you are using.
NFC (Near field communication) literally translates as "near field communication", means the exchange of information between digital devices at a distance of up to 10 cm, the technology was presented in 2004. It is impossible to configure the function of near-field communication on your own. Modern telephones come with a built-in module, the manufacturer indicates the availability of this feature either in the cell phone settings or on the battery. Function contactless payment a Sberbank card is available using a smartphone, it is supported by all devices with an Android version higher than 4.4
Android Pay
This application uses Visa and Mastercard (both debit and credit) from Sberbank for payment, does not support Maestro technology. In order to use a phone instead of a Sberbank card, you need:
- Use the Sberbank Online program. To do this, go to Personal Area on your smartphone, select the payment method that you plan to use, then click the "Add to Android Pay" button (located immediately after the item: "About the card") and follow the instructions.
- Find Android Pay in the Play Market, install it on your smartphone and then follow the simple instructions of the program.
After that, the information of the means of payment is transferred to a virtual account, which is reflected in a digital device when exchanging data, for example, with a terminal at the cash register of a store. To make a payment, it is enough to put a mobile phone with an open program to the device at the checkout and wait for a sound signal after the money has been successfully debited. The software is provided by Google and the data is stored on a server. If you lost your smartphone or it was stolen, then to ensure the safety and security of your Money use Android remote control to block access to the program on the missing smartphone. If it is impossible to control the gadget from a distance, it is recommended to block the cards attached to the device.
Using the Android Pay feature is free.
Contactless payment with Samsung Pay
Samsung Pay is a technology developed by Samsung Corporation and has advanced functionality compared to payment system Android. Phones, in addition to the NFC module, also work with MST technology. Magnetic Secure Transmission - literal translation of "magnetic secure transmission", allows you to connect to terminals of previous generations. Those. you can pay almost anywhere. In Russia, 17 models of Galaxy and Gear telephones are working with the program. Note: Samsung Galaxy S6 edge (G920F) and Samsung Galaxy S6 (G925F) only support NFC.
Access to the platform is possible:
- through your Sberbank Online personal account on your smartphone. To do this, go to the application, specify the required card, select the "Add to Samsung Pay" menu item and follow the guide.
- through the installed application "Samsung Pay". Check the software version of the gadget, if necessary, update it manually through the "Settings" menu item. Check the manual for the device if you have difficulty updating and need help. Then use the program icon and indicate your activated account, or, if not, create a new one. Add debit or credit card and accept the agreement between the bank and Samsung. Wait for SMS with a password to complete registration. Be sure to install a signature that identifies you - both fingerprint and PIN are used. To comply with security rules, do not provide data to others and do not allow unauthorized fingerprints to be activated on the system. The application works with Visa and Mastercard. There is a possibility of binding 10 cards (maximum). To make payments using the phone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen (both on locked and active), go through the identification procedure (using a fingerprint or PIN code, depending on the previously selected method) and touch the device to the terminal. If you need the PIN-code of the plastic card to make a payment, dial it at the terminal.
The provided application works free of charge.
Contactless payment with Apple Pay
The payment instrument was developed by Apple for iOS devices (phones from iPhone SE and all subsequent models are used to make payments in a store, restaurant, etc.) and for Apple Watch. To work correctly, the device must have Touch ID and an activated iCloud account. The program works with Visa and Mastercard.
To connect to iPhone
In Sberbank Online, find the item "Connect to iPhone", add the card to "Wallet" in the gadget. When choosing this method, you do not need to specify the payment method details and additional confirmation via SMS.
Perform the following actions through the "Wallet" icon on the device:
- Make sure that mobile bank connected. If there is no service, please activate it through the nearest ATM.
- Select "Wallet" on your mobile device and tap "Add card".
- Transfer the information yourself (or use your phone camera to scan it). Fill in the fields with personal data (last name and first name), as indicated on the front side of the card, indicate the expiration date and security code (three digits on the back).

To make a contactless payment using a smartphone, press your finger on Touch ID and touch the handset to the terminal. The terminal sound signal will indicate the successful withdrawal of funds.
To connect on Apple Watch
Use the "Connect to Apple Watch" item in Sberbank Online on iPhone and follow these steps:
- Indicate the card in the "Wallet" application in the smartwatch and track the change in the status of the card on the main page. The method does not require additional steps for identification.
- Make sure that the mobile bank is linked to the payment method. If the service is not available, activate it at the nearest ATM.
- Open the Apple Watch app on your phone, select Wallet, and Apple Pay"And add a card, enter the security code and click" Next ".
- Accept the terms of the agreement and confirm the correctness of the specified data using the code from the SMS.
To make a calculation using a smart watch, you need to double-click on the button on the side, attach the watch display to the terminal and wait for confirmation of the successful operation.
The payment system is used to make settlements on devices such as iPad, MacBook Pro (only with a fingerprint scanner) and Mac computer (models older than 2012 and synchronized with an iPhone or smart watch). However, with the help of these devices, you can pay only in programs (including app store) and on the Internet, subject to the provision of this opportunity by the site. To use this feature, find Apple Pay, double-check that the purchase was made correctly, and then press Touch ID (or double the button on the side of your watch). When the payment goes through, a check mark and the word "Done" will appear.
Apple's payment method is free of charge. The company's security and privacy policy does not allow data storage either on devices or on a server.
Conclusion
Paying with a phone instead of a Sberbank card does not require an Internet connection, regardless of which system and phone model you use. Differences in the use of short-range contactless communication of one payment system from another depend on the developers and the phone model.
Twelve steps EMV-transactions
"Make a transaction so that you have to go through a dozen steps"
From the instructions of the master EMVco
Surely many of you have noticed that after replacing magnetic stripe cards with chip cards, the transaction time in the terminal increased by several seconds. It takes longer to read the microcircuit, it takes more time to check the PIN code offline.
This is due to the fact that the process of servicing chip cards is much more complicated than reading a couple of tens of bytes from the strip and sending an authorization request to an open socket.
According to the EMVCo standard, a typical EMV transaction cycle consists of 12 stages:
1. Application selection;
2. Initialization of application processing;
3. Reading application data;
4. Authentication of the issuer in offline mode;
5. Handling restrictions;
6. Authentication of the card holder;
7. Checking the risk management parameters on the terminal side;
8. Analysis of terminal actions;
9. Verification of risk management parameters on the card side;
10. Analysis of the actions of the card;
12. Completion of the transaction.
These operations require intensive exchange and computation on both the card and terminal side and take a lot of time by the standards of online systems. In this case, the card is constantly in the terminal's reader, and the client is impatiently awaiting the system's verdict.
Every second counts for large retail chains, and modern customers want to receive their goods faster. The Visa payment system has offered contactless card service technology for shops and customers. In addition to the speed of payment, customers received another valuable advantage - now a standard piece of plastic can become superfluous altogether, the data for payment is written into the phone with NFC.
Quick VSDC or let's do it quickly
« The Visa requirement is for the transaction time not to exceed 500 milliseconds»
From the manual Visa for developers of contactless terminals
The requirement given in the epigraph sets a very strict framework for processing a contactless transaction - 500 milliseconds. The terminal and the card have exactly that much time to get acquainted, discuss and make the right decision.
To make a contactless transaction real in such a short period of time, the developers proposed to remove the maximum excess from the 12 steps of an EMV transaction, and to combine and shorten the necessary steps. This is how the qVSDC (quick Visa Smart Debit / Credit) specifications appeared.
Figure 1 shows the main phases of contactless transaction service.
Rice. 1. Main phases of contactless transaction service
Phase 1. Preparing for a contactless transaction.
At this moment, the terminal already knows the amount to be paid and can determine the possibility of conducting a transaction via a contactless interface, taking into account the limits allowed by the acquiring bank. The terminal fills out a TTQ (Terminal Transaction Qualifier) record, which it later gives to the card for making a decision.
If a contactless transaction is possible, the terminal activates the contactless reader.
Phase 2.1. Application selection
The client brings a contactless card or phone with NFC to the reader. The reader asks the card for a list of applications that support contactless payment - PPSE (Proximity Payment Systems Environment). If an application is found, it is automatically selected for payment by its AID (Application ID). If the application is not found, then the transaction ends. In this case, the terminal offers to use a different interface for making a payment.
Phase 2.2. Initializing Application Processing
The terminal transmits to the card the most important command - Get Processing Option. Based on the analysis of the TTQ record, the amount and currency of the data transaction, the card makes a decision on how to authenticate the client, taking into account the risk management rules set by the card issuer.
For contactless payments, the fDDA (Fast Dynamic Data Authentication) mechanism is implemented. Before responding to the Get Processing Option command, the card signs a random number (unpredictable number) using the issuer's key certificate, as well as the parameters of the transaction transmitted by the terminal - the amount and currency code. Unlike standard EMV processing, to reduce the time, instead of a separate exchange cycle, the transaction cryptogram (TC) is transmitted immediately in response to the Get Processing Option command.
Phase 3. Cardholder authentication
Based on the information received from the card, the terminal authenticates the cardholder. The options can be as follows:
No authentication. This is permissible, for example, when using the VEPS (Visa Easy Payment Service) service;
By signature. The cashier must ask the customer to sign the check;
Pin. The terminal prompts the client to enter a PIN code;
CDCVM (Consumer Device CVM). A special method invented for a client's device, such as a telephone. In this case, the client enters a separate access code for the payment application. The sign of such authentication will be transmitted to the terminal.
Phase 4. Online transaction authorization.
If necessary, the terminal generates an authorization request and sends it to the issuer. The request contains the standard fields of an EMV transaction, the transaction cryptogram, the selected application and the sign of card service via a contactless interface.
Appendix VisaQIWIWallet. General scheme interactions
Since the release of Google Android 4.4, developers have been able to access the NFC interface directly. Thanks to this, it became possible to emulate the operation of a card in a payment application. The technology is officially called Host Card Emulation (HCE).
The technologies described above can be implemented not only in a microcircuit implanted in a piece of plastic, but also in those same Consumer Devices, in particular, in mobile phones.
Thanks to the collaboration between Visa and QIWI, we can now try for ourselves how it works in real life. It is enough to have:
Smartphone with NFC chip and Android OS 4.4 or higher;
The installed program is a mobile wallet Visa QIWI Wallet.
Figure 2 shows a diagram of the interaction of participants in contactless payment by phone.
Rice. 2. Scheme of interaction of participants
From the point of view of the payment system, the interaction of the participants does not differ from the usual payment by card. The POS terminal is connected to the host of the acquiring bank's processing system and generates requests for authorization of payment transactions. The acquiring bank's processing system forwards authorization requests to the Visa payment system, which routes requests to the issuing bank's processing system. The received response is chained back to the terminal.
The interaction of the issuing bank with a smartphone is more interesting, let us dwell on it in more detail.
The user installs the Visa QIWI Wallet program on his smartphone. When launched for the first time, the program is bound to a smartphone using a session password sent to the user via SMS.
The channel between the smartphone and the server of the issuing bank is protected. The system uses SSL-pinning technology. This means that the SSL certificate used on the server is embedded directly into the Visa QIWI Wallet application. The standard Android certificate store is not used, so the risk of certificate spoofing is significantly reduced. In addition, data sent to the application is encrypted with a key downloaded from the server.
Bank details are loaded into the application via a secure communication channel between the processing system of the issuing bank and the phone. Visa cards... If the phone has an NFC chip and the HCE mode is supported, then a key is additionally loaded into the application, with which the transaction cryptogram (TC) will be signed. The accepted key, as well as the details of the card, are stored in a secure storage in the smartphone's memory. For security reasons, the key is changed periodically.
Internet access is not required to pay for the goods, the Visa QIWI Wallet application may not even be launched, you just need to unlock the screen.
If the purchase amount does not exceed 1 thousand rubles, then the VEPS service is triggered and additional client authentication is not required.
If the purchase amount is more than the threshold and the screen was unlocked by the client, the terminal will ask you to sign the transaction receipt (signature authentication). The fact of unlocking confirms the ownership of the phone. The CDCVM (Consumer Device CVM) tag will be sent to the terminal.
If the purchase amount is more than the threshold and the screen lock is not enabled on the smartphone, then the application may request additional confirmation from the client using an access password. An Internet connection is required here.
Interaction with the terminal is performed according to the qVSDC scheme described above. In contrast to the hardware implementation on the chip, all calculations, as well as the generation of the TC cryptogram, are performed in software.

Security issue
One of the important sides this issue- safety. As already mentioned, financial specialists consider the payment method by phones to be reliable. The following factors are evidence of this:
- information about the payment instrument is not provided;
- if the phone is stolen by fraudsters, they will not be able to withdraw money from it due to the Touch ID technology and the impossibility of entering a special code;
- as soon as payment is made, the terminal turns off, this makes it impossible to write off money in one transaction.
The card does not have any of the listed advantages that ensure the safety of funds in the owner's account.
Conclusion
If necessary, the application can be launched on two devices. To do this, you need to bind a card to each of them.
Paying for goods and travel by phone has significantly expanded the capabilities of users and made smartphones even more necessary and indispensable.
Modern technologies do not stand still. They develop so quickly that many people simply do not have time to figure them out. More recently, payment for goods on the Internet was a novelty. And how it works, only a limited percentage of people understood.
Technology is advancing even faster now. The turn has come mobile phones... Literally every month, new models appear on the market, equipped with dozens of useful functions. One of them is paying for purchases by phone. How is this possible? How to pay with a phone in a store? What do you need to know and have for this? Let's figure it out.
Is it possible to pay by phone
One of the recent novelties that our citizens got acquainted with is a contactless payment system. Here we are talking about such types of cards as Visa PayWave and MasterCard PayPass... A huge number of people have already appreciated the simplicity and convenience of this technology. In order to pay for your purchase, you just need to bring the "plastic" to a special POS-terminal. In this case, there is no need to enter a PIN-code or perform any other actions. Everything happens automatically. This makes payment incredibly fast.
The same process was taken as a basis for the development with the "mobile phone". The technology is called Near Field Communication (NFC for short). The smartphone owner generates a special payment card that has a contactless payment function. For this, a special mobile application is used, which is different for each system.
Popular contactless payment programs
As already mentioned, in order to turn a smartphone into a wallet, you need special program... You can pay with your phone if you have one of the following applications installed:
- Samsung Pay;
- Apple Pay;
- Android Pay.
Which program to install depends on what operating system your smartphone is running on. Apple Pay will work exclusively for Apple phones, Android smartphones will only respond to Android Pay, and the rest of the program will work only for smartphones of the corresponding brand.
Below we will take a closer look at how to pay in a store with a phone using one or another system.
Apple Pay
This contactless payment technology has been built into Apple-branded devices. Its essence is that you no longer need to carry around countless different plastic cards... You can simply "tie" all plastic media to your smartphone and make purchases conveniently.
It's easy to do, and the service is really simple and easy to use.
Initial settings
To get started using Apple Pay, you will have to take several preparatory steps. First, you need to open a card account in one of the following branches financial institutions:
- "Alfa Bank".
- "VTB 24".
- RocketBank.
- Bank "Saint-Petersburg".
- Tinkoff.
- Bank opening".
- Gazprombank.
- "Russian standard".
- "Yandex money".
- Sberbank.
- "MDM-B&N Bank".
- Raiffeisenbank.
The list is constantly growing and it is likely that soon it will be possible to add several dozen more banks.
And, of course, you need to make sure that your iPhone can handle installed application... The technology is supported by the following models:
- iPhone SE, 6, 7, 6s and 6 Plus and 7 Plus;
- Macbook Pro 2016;
- iPad of the latest versions;
- and II generations.
If you have an older model phone, you will have to wait a bit with contactless payments.
In addition, to install Apple Pay and it will function properly, you need an Apple ID and an updated to latest version"Operating system".
To make non-contact payments, you can add as many as 8 payment cards to the Apple Phone.
Application algorithm
Here's a quick guide for those who don't know how to turn a phone into a bank card:
- Open the Wallet system and click on the active link "Add a payment card".
- Enter your Apple ID.
- Enter your payment details in the fields provided. plastic card: holder's name, expiration date, number. Please provide a short description.

- After that, you need to wait a little. The bank that issued the card will determine its authenticity, identify it and decide if it can be connected to the IPhone.
- When the check is complete, click the "Next" button and wait a little longer.
- Ready. You can now use your smartphone to pay for purchases.
How to pay with a phone in a store? Very simple. To do this, just bring your smartphone to a special payment terminal. In this case, you must hold down Touch ID with your finger. Who does not know, this is a large key at the bottom of the case. Hold your smartphone near the terminal for a while and wait for the beep. He will notify you that the operation is completed and was successful.
Android Pay
How to pay with an Android phone? There is nothing complicated here either. You can download a special application from the GooglePlay service. But it will work stably only if the following conditions are met:
- the presence of the "Android" system version 4.4 or higher;
- preinstalled NFC module;
- lack of open unlimited access to smartphone systems (root access).
There are several other conditions under which Android Pay cannot be used:
- the OS bootloader is not unlocked in the smartphone;
- preinstalled version of "operating system" for developers or there is Samsung MyKnox;
- the smartphone is a fake and has not been approved by Google.
Before you pay with your phone in a store or salon, you must correctly install and run the corresponding application. You can do it like this:
- download and install the service;
- open the program and find your account;
- click the "+" icon in the bottom right corner;
- select the "Add card" item and fill in all the required fields;
- confirm the data by entering a special password from SMS.
Ready. The card is "tied". Before committing contactless payment, you need to make sure that the terminal supports this technology. Most often, this is evidenced by special stickers in the form of radio waves (contactless payment) or the Android Pay logo.
Paying for your purchases with your phone in this case is also easy. To do this, just take the device out of the inactive mode and bring it with the rear panel to the appropriate place on the terminal. It is absolutely not necessary to activate the Android Pay program. It activates itself.
Now you need to wait 2-3 seconds and make sure that the payment is completed. Further actions will depend on which card is "tied" to the smartphone. If you pay with a credit card in excess of the limit, you will need to additionally sign the check. If debit "plastic" is used, you will have to enter the PIN-code.
Samsung Pay
This system is not yet as popular as its predecessors. However, the number of users is growing rapidly. This is partly facilitated by the fact that with the help of Samsung Pei you can pay not only through the contactless payment system, but also where a magnetic stripe is installed in the terminal. This is possible thanks to a specially designed secure magnetic transmission system (Magnetic Secure Transmission or MST).
The fact is that smartphones that support this special technology are able to create a special magnetic field.
The list of financial institutions that support this technology is not too long, but it is constantly expanding.
To use the application, your smartphone must support NFC and have an operating system of at least Android 4.4.4.
The process of launching the application and binding the map is almost identical to those described above:
- download the application and activate the account using e-mail;
- determine the authorization path using a PIN code or fingerprint;
- click the "+" symbol or the "Add" link;
- enter the data of a plastic card or scan it;
- read the terms of service, put a "tick" in the required field and click "Accept all";
- confirm your actions using a password from SMS;
- with a stylus or just your finger to put your signature on the smartphone screen;
- click "Finish".
In this way, you can "tie" no more than 10 cards to your smartphone. Everything works very simply:
- launch Samsung Pay;
- select a card;
- log in with a PIN or fingerprint;
- bring your phone to the POS terminal and wait a couple of seconds.
Pros and cons of phone payments
Despite the popularity of the technology, it still has more disadvantages than advantages.
- Firstly, the places where you can pay with your phone at this moment not so much. This is especially true for small towns or villages. After all, in order to make such a payment, you need an appropriate terminal. And it is not installed everywhere.
- Secondly, many cashiers are simply afraid to do something wrong and come up with various excuses to refuse such a payment method.
- And, finally, in order to pay in this way, you must have a rather expensive and "fancy" phone. And, unfortunately, not everyone has it.
However, there are also advantages to paying by phone. First of all, it is stylish, fashionable and still attracting attention. Plus, it's also incredibly convenient. After all, you do not have to carry with you a whole bunch of plastic cards and remember the PIN codes for each of them. It is enough to enter all the data into the program once, and in the future it will do everything for you.
Conclusion
Now you know how to pay with your phone at the checkout, and if necessary, you can do it. Technologies are developing so quickly that the day is not far off when such a phenomenon will no longer surprise, and calculations using the phone will become available everywhere.
together with the MasterCard payment system and the developer company D8 Corporation launched new technology for fast and safe payment for purchases: now your bank card is transferred to your smartphone!Imagine: queue in a hypermarket, buyers are late at the checkout for so long - most often they pay in cash, dial the required amount, wait a long time for change from the cashier. But now your turn comes, and with a "flick of your hand" you instantly pay for the purchase, just by touching the terminal with your mobile phone!
Smartphone always at hand
Mobile phones have long ceased to be only a means of making calls and sending SMS: now they are the Internet, books, music, maps and navigation, photos and mail, and much more. There is evidence that the average person looks at the screen of his smartphone 150 times a day! We are more likely to forget our wallet at home than our phone, which stores all the information we need. It is quite understandable that technologies have also appeared, with the help of which the telephone turns into a means for cashless payment not only on the Internet, but also in a regular store. In particular, MasterCard contactless payment technology, with which plastic has ceased to be the only carrier of a bank card.
With the innovations of MasterCard, MTBank clients now have the opportunity to load a bank card into their phone. From the beginning of February, you can download the MTBank application on Google Play for free - MTBank HCE (HCE) - the first mobile application in Belarus with which you can pay for goods and services with one touch of your NFC smartphone to the terminal with contactless technology... Because the card is now in your phone! Let's see how everything works.
How a bank card moves to a smartphone
In fact, every modern payment card is a microprocessor embedded in a piece of plastic. Banks buy "blanks" of cards and write on them their application with the "payment data" of the client. Conclusion: plastic is just a storage medium, which can be, for example, a smartphone. After all, each device has a processor thousands of times more powerful than the one on the plastic card.
Near field communication (NFC) technology, similar to Bluetooth or WiFi, is used to exchange data between a smartphone and a payment terminal.
This technology allows devices to exchange data at a very small distance - about 4 cm. Today it is being introduced into smartphones and televisions already during production.
