Air purity depending on the floor. What floor in the house is it better to live on? Choosing a floor. Audibility from the street
The fifth, sixth and seventh floors are considered the most attractive for living, since the concentration of harmful substances on these floors is minimized, including harmful exhaust gases all circulating in the air only up to the fifth floor.
Nitrogen oxides, soot, fumes, dust and other harmful substances are maximally concentrated in the surface layer. They are heavier than ordinary atmospheric gases, therefore they do not rise high and, with calmness, tend to the ground and settle on the grass and asphalt. Therefore, it is not recommended to eat fruits from garden trees growing along busy roads. And it is better to take even small children in your arms, since the earth has the most harmful substances.
The best option is to buy an apartment on floors 5-7.
But the location of the house is also of great importance. If the house is located in a lowland, then smog will flow there from higher points of the city. I can see this from the window of a new building from the 16th floor near the highest point of the city when looking at the underlying area. There smog can lie above the fifth floor.
The exhaust gases from the car can rise quite high, namely to a height corresponding to about the fifth - fourth floor. Proceeding from this, many citizens try to give preference to floors higher than the fifth, here you should definitely not expect exhaust gases.
Exhaust gases from cars have the highest concentration in the air near the surface of the earth. The higher upward, the less their concentration becomes, and at the level of the fifth floor it no longer has a decisive value.
But if there are factories, state district power stations, thermal power plants or other industrial enterprises near the apartment, then the smoke from them accumulates at the level from the seventh floor and above.
Therefore, it is considered that the most favorable from the point of view of the purity of the atmosphere are floors from the 5th to the 7th.
But when they came home from a van, whose apartment was on the 2nd floor near a busy highway, and we have a 10th floor not far from the Volga, the difference was very noticeable.
Exhaust gases can rise up to the fifth floor. If you choose housing, then apartments from the eighth floor and above are considered environmentally friendly. No harmful gases will definitely rise to the eighth floor, and even rarely, harmful gases can rise to the fifth floor. It is better not to buy an apartment less than the fifth floor.
The fact is that each car has individual exhaust gases. Someone has worse filtration, because the smoke is thicker and it settles from below. Others emit light, feathery smog through the exhaust, which rises high into the atmosphere. There is no specific level at which the exhaust gas is held. Otherwise it would be impossible to be there.
If speak about exhaust fumes from cars, then they are concentrated up to the 4th floor, according to other sources, up to the 5th floor. Moreover, according to experts, the nearby growing shrubs do not help much.
If you live near a factory that has the chimney smokes, it is said that these gases will harm people from the 8th floor to the 16th floor, depending on the nature and density of the gases.
I live on the tenth floor and I will tell you that the dust from the road, which runs a hundred meters from the house, flies onto my balcony, covers the windowsill and the floor, clogs up the mosquito net very well. Probably, you need to climb even higher.
Exhaust gases cause maximum damage at about 6-7 meters, but more volatile substances can rise to about 14 meters.
So, if we take the most common height of 2.7 meters, used for one floor, then it turns out that the very peak falls up to the 3rd floor, then the substances go down, but light elements breathe on the 5th floor, I believe that lighter substances cause more harm to health, so floors 4-5 are even worse.
So, if you choose housing close to the road, then of course it is best to be guided by the 7-8th floors, these are the most ecologically (relatively) clean floors.
Although it is possible that there is no other choice at all, since on the 7th-8th floor, the wind begins to walk, dispersing all other substances.
The exhaust gas concentration reaches its maximum at the level from the first to the fifth floor. In standard houses, the floor is from 2.7 meters to 3 meters. That is, at a height of 15 meters above ground level, the air is still very dirty.
Around the 13-15th floor, it is almost twice as clean. Starting from the 28-30th floor (again, it depends on the height of the floors in this particular building), emissions at this level are 15-18 times less than directly at the roadbed.
Indeed, while we lived on the fourth floor, the windows had to be washed three times more often than now, on the 12th. The region is about the same, the number of transport is unchanged. Moscow.
The article presents the results of field studies of the content of carbon monoxide in the atmosphere along the height from the earth's surface from mobile sources of pollution. Studies on the height of buildings of carbon monoxide concentration have not been carried out for the climatic conditions of the south. Western Siberia... The object of the study was residential buildings. The studies were carried out at unfavorable wind speeds. The processing of experimental data made it possible to obtain the calculated dependences of the dimensionless value of the concentration of carbon monoxide (II) on the height of the facade of buildings from the sources of emission from highways with different traffic intensities. A nomogram has been constructed to determine the optimal air intake height for buildings of various storeys from highways of different traffic intensities. These guidelines allow external sources to be taken into account when designing a building's ventilation. Calculated dependencies make it possible to determine the minimum concentration along the height of the building from vehicles.

The number of cars in cities is growing rapidly, and at the same time, the gross emissions of harmful substances are increasing, most of which enter buildings. At the same time, in most buildings in urban areas, natural exhaust ventilation is used, which does not allow controlling the level of indoor air pollution. When using mechanical ventilation, supply air in urban environments can also lead to a deterioration in the quality of the air environment. This system ventilation was designed in many residential buildings in large cities, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, etc. All of the above cities are cities with a high level of air pollution.
The distribution of pollutants along the height of residential buildings has a certain character. Of interest are studies on the content of carbon monoxide between floors in multi-storey buildings under the influence of mobile emission sources, which is important when choosing an air intake for supply ventilation of buildings.
Purpose of the study
The purpose of the research is the development of design dependencies for optimizing the air regime of buildings, depending on the quality of outdoor air from vehicles.
Objects and research methods
Carbon monoxide (II) CO was chosen as a pollutant, as the most stable impurity in the air. The data of field studies of CO concentrations over the entire height of the building from vehicles are not presented enough, the studies were carried out only in the surface layer.
In the outside air, the concentration of carbon monoxide (II) was measured. All analyzes were carried out on the basis of the analytical laboratory of the FGUZ "Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Tyumen Region". Field studies were carried out for three years in the spring-summer and autumn-winter periods.
The object of the study was residential buildings (five-, nine-, ten-storey) located in the area of intersections with different traffic intensities: over 2000 vehicles / hour; from 1000-2000 cars / hour; from 600-1000 vehicles / hour; up to 500-600 vehicles / hour Points with heavy traffic were selected, where braking and high emissions of harmful substances occur, in particular intersections. The studies were carried out at the most unfavorable meter speed (1-3 m / s).
The CO concentration in the outdoor air was measured along the height of the buildings. A total of 354 observation posts were selected on the border with residential buildings.
Sampling from mobile sources was carried out from 6:00 to 13:00 or from 14:00 to 21:00, alternating days with morning and evening. At night - 1.2 times a week. At the same time, the wind speed (m / s) was measured and its direction was noted.
When sampling near a building at a distance of at least 0.5 m from the wall. Sampling was also carried out in the inner quarter.
Research results and their discussion
The dependences in Figures 1-2 of the CO concentration on the height of the building, near the intersection with an intensity of more than 2000 vehicles / hour, are shown.
Rice. 1. Dependence of CO concentration on the height from the windward side of the building from the highway with an intensity of 2000 aut. /hour
Rice. 2. The dependence of the CO concentration on the height from the leeward side of the building from the highway 2000 ed. /hour
The graphs show (Figure 1-2) that the concentration of CO from mobile sources decreases along the height. The highest concentrations are observed from the side of the windward facade at the level of the 1st and 2nd floors: 1.4 MPCs., From the leeward - 1.1 MPCs. and 1ПДКсс., approximation dependences (1) - (2). In frontal development, some air mass build-up is formed in front of the building, therefore, increased CO concentrations are created.
We also examined buildings (frontal buildings) near intersections with traffic intensities of up to 500-600 vehicles / hour; 600-1000 vehicles / hour; over 2000 vehicles / hour. The result of measurements of CO concentrations over the height of buildings is also presented as a function of the dimensionless length (, where is the height of the building). The value of concentration along the height is presented in dimensionless form in relation to the maximum (, where is the maximum concentration along the height of the building, is the concentration at the height).
Processing the results of experimental studies made it possible to obtain semi-empirical dependences of the CO concentration on the height of the building from intersections with different traffic intensities (Table 1). The dependences are characterized by the value of the coefficient of reliability of approximations R2≥0.98.

In order to be able to determine the concentration at any point along the height of the building, a nomogram was constructed (Figure 3). Using this nomogram when designing a building ventilation system, you can determine the maximum and minimum CO concentration at any point along the height of the building from intersections of various traffic intensities. In Figure 3, the line shows the permissible dimensionless concentration and heights at which it is possible to take outside air along the height of the building. At an intensity of 1000-2000 cars / hour, the air flow should be carried out from a height above 0.24N meters, where H is the height of the building; at an intensity above 2000 vehicles / hour, air intake is above 0.56N meters. For a low intensity, no excess was found, then air intake according to the nomogram should preferably be carried out from a height equal to the height of the building H, since at this height there is a minimum concentration of CO.
Rice. 3. Nomogram for determining the optimal air intake height for the concentration of carbon monoxide along the height of buildings in the outdoor air from vehicles:
h - height from the surface of the earth, m; Н - building height, m; Сmaх - maximum concentration of carbon monoxide along the height of the building, mg / m3; C - concentration of carbon monoxide at height h, mg / m3
For example, if a building is 30 meters high, then according to the nomogram in Figure 3, with a traffic intensity above 2000 vehicles / hour, the air flow should be above 0.56H = 16.8 meters, and under the same conditions for a building of 40 meters - above 0 , 56H = 22.4 meters. This is due to the processes of building aerodynamics, that is, air flow around the building. The higher the building, the larger the size of the aerodynamic shadow. The closer the point is to the building, the more secondary recirculated air currents and stagnant zones appear, in which the air speed is close to zero. Consequently, the concentration of carbon monoxide is higher. In this regard, it is necessary to take into account the height of the building when choosing the optimal place for air intake.
conclusions
Thus, field studies have shown that the highest concentrations from unorganized sources of pollution are observed at the level of the 1st and 2nd floors and above, depending on the intensity of the transport highway. With height, pollution from vehicles decreases depending on the height of the building.
Based on the research results, calculation methods have been developed for choosing the optimal air intake height for forced-in mechanical ventilation in buildings according to the CO concentration in the outside air at any point () along the building height (), taking into account mobile sources. This is important at the first stage of designing a building ventilation system, since the obtained dependencies predict the level of pollution over the entire height of the building (above 2 m).

In many ways, the state of human health depends on the conditions in which he lives, since environment greatly affects the well-being of a person: both psychological and physical. That is why those who decided to acquire new housing are interested in which floor is better to live in multi-storey building for health, especially in such a metropolis as in Moscow, where more exhaust gases accumulate?
According to statistics, the first and the very last floors are not in great demand, so realtors skillfully use this, reducing housing prices, which captivates many. However, is this justified? To understand which floor is better to live in a multi-storey building for health, it is necessary to disassemble the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.
We suggest exploring homemade methods,.
First floor
If we consider this "height" from the point of view of safety, then yes, the first floor is the safest. If an emergency occurs, the inhabitants of these apartments will be able to easily leave the building through the window. Also, when you move into an apartment, the risk of causing damage to yourself and the furniture is minimal - after all, it is much easier to bring things to the first floor.
If there is an accident with the water supply, you need to worry about the neighbors below, as on the first floors the walls are thicker, which means that the audibility is less. Well, this option is suitable for families with small children: they can run, stamp their feet as much as they climb, no one from the bottom can complain.
But to the list, the disadvantage of this floor can be attributed high risk penetration of thieves, and therefore, it will take a lot of funds to secure yourself for sure. Lattices on the windows, a good door with strong locks, alarm.
If the house has a garbage chute, then the inhabitants of the first floor suffer from its smell from the unbearable smell. From the point of view of health, this is a big minus - since for good health, a person needs to breathe fresh air, and not inhale waste vapors.
Even in the apartments located on the ground floor, the most exhaust gases accumulate, so the ventilation of the room will not be as effective as usual.
Also, the first floor is the most passable place, which can annoy, and also significantly clog the staircase: after all, every day, virtually all residents of the house pass the first floor.
2nd floor
The second floor has the same number of advantages as the first. In addition, the risk of flooding the neighbors from below is already emerging. Residents of the second floor can use the elevator, and if it breaks down, then walking is not so long and tiring.
But the disadvantages include increased noise. If the inhabitants of the first floor can be saved by thick walls, then the inhabitants of the second floor will suffer from everything that is happening outside the window: noisy companies at the entrance, squealing of children from the playground, car alarms. Plus, exhaust gases, just like on the first floor, clog the air in the apartment.
3rd floor
The third floor is like the golden mean. Sounds do not come from the street as well, the dampness from the basement does not rise to such a height, it is not difficult to climb without an elevator. The disadvantages include all the same exhaust gases.
4th to 6th floor
These floors are some of the quietest floors, so many families choose them when looking for the best floor to live in a multi-storey building for health. Exhaust gases are no longer a hindrance in this case, because they simply do not get to such a height, and the dust from the street flies much less than on the lower floors. Of the minus, it can be noted that without an elevator it will already be difficult, especially for the elderly and those who have health problems.
7th floor
On the 7th floor, no street noise will disturb, the smell of exhaust gases is absent. The best option for those who do not want to settle lower, but at the same time are afraid of heights. What is the peculiarity for maintaining health.
8th floor and above
The upper floors are famous and attracted by the fact that they offer a unique view from their windows, plus, in addition, such apartments are much better illuminated. Along with this, there are a couple of disadvantages: for example, difficulties with evacuation in the event of an emergency, as well as the accumulation of harmful substances in the air, if there is some kind of enterprise or factory not far from the house.
It is impossible to say with absolute certainty on which floor it is better to live in a multi-storey building for health, each floor has its own advantages and disadvantages. The minimum damage to health, if we weigh all the pros and cons, will be on the 5-7th floor. At this altitude, the air is cleaner than on the first floors, which suffer from exhaust gases, and than on last floors that suffer from the accumulation of harmful substances in the air that are emitted by factories.
But, as in the case of living on the first and last floors, it is also recommended to regularly clean the air in the middle, then you do not have to worry about dirty air, exhaust gases and so on.

Which floor to choose when buying an apartment?
When buying an apartment, one of the most important selection criteria is the floor.
The most demanded for the buyer are the so-called "middle" floors. As a rule, these are 3-6 floors. For the old five-story buildings, these are the 2nd and 3rd floors, taking into account the fact that they do not have elevators.
Which floor should you choose?
If you are purchasing an apartment for the purpose of investing funds, or are planning to sell it in the near future, feel free to choose the middle floors. Such an apartment will be more liquid, therefore, you can sell it faster and more expensive than housing on the outer floors.
But now let's look at the most common situation - when housing is purchased for oneself, "seriously and for a long time." What are people guided by when choosing a floor for permanent residence?
If we analyze the wishes of our clients, the most common choice is: "any floor except the first and last". Why did it happen? Is this really the right decision?
We offer you to understand this issue objectively, weighing all the pros and cons.
Criterion # 1.
Which floor is safer to live on?
It depends on what you are afraid of J. If there are thieves, then exclude the first floor. They rob much more often here. You can't do without good bars on the windows. As for the last floor, the probability of penetration into the apartment from the roof is, in fact, not great.
If we consider the danger of fire - here on the contrary - the first floor is the safest, because in the event of a fire you can get out of the apartment even without outside help. Of course, if the grilles on the windows are not welded, not painted over "tightly" with paint. Be careful. The grilles from the inside should be easy to give even to a child!
Except for the first floor - the higher, the more dangerous it is in the event of a fire in the building. The fire escape reaches a height of 75-80 meters - this is usually floors 11-12. And smoke and toxic combustion products also rise up.
It is much safer in those houses where the stairwells are separated from the stairwells (the so-called "smoke-free staircase"). But this advantage It can also be dangerous if an elevator breaks down in the house - such stairs, unfortunately, are often chosen by intruders for attack. Be careful.
Some people think that it is dangerous to live on the upper floors: they say, high, I'm afraid to fall. In fact, this fear is exaggerated. If you fall from the 8th floor, the result will be the same as from the 18th and 28th ...
Criterion # 2.
Elevator breakdown.
It is believed that it is comfortable to walk up the stairs to 3-4 floors. It is inconvenient to lift the stroller even one flight of stairs.
The operation of the elevator depends primarily on management company and service services. Elevator problems tend to be less common in newer homes. In addition, many buildings have 2 lifts.
Criterion # 3.
Roof leaks.
Most people assume that there is a risk of roof leaks on the top floors. In fact, this probability is exaggerated, because in practice cases when neighbors "drown" each other are much more common. Moreover, in the old panel houses water can move along the seams between the slabs, and it is not a fact that leaks will appear on the last floor - water may well get to the middle floor, moreover, the neighboring entrance.
Criterion No. 4.
Health and wellness.
It is believed that people with a weak and unbalanced psyche are not desirable to settle higher than on the 7th floor. Fear of heights, a feeling of dizziness, usually begins here.
Sometimes people, choosing an apartment, go up to the top floor and, looking down, say “it will take your breath away”. That's just the spirit to capture and should not. At permanent residence at an altitude, such people may feel worse, depression and headaches may appear. Even if the fear of heights will pass over time. Although some do get used to it and feel quite comfortable.
On high floors in monolithic buildings, a harmful electromagnetic field often occurs. This is due to natural vibrations along the monolithic frame. The sensitivity to this field is different for all people. If you are meteosensitive - refrain from buying an apartment on high floors.
Indeed, nature has laid down that a person is at the earth. Therefore, most people are really more comfortable downstairs.
Criterion No. 5.
On which floor is the air cleaner?
1st-4th floor- the strongest accumulation of exhaust gases. Moreover, there is more on the 3rd floor than on the first, since harmful elements rise above the first, but they rise higher with difficulty. The result is the densest accumulation of fuel and lubricants combustion products, these are the 2nd and 3rd floors. Think about it if you are looking for an apartment with windows facing a busy road!
5-7 floor- the cleanest air. Exhaust gases (more precisely, their especially harmful elements) are heavy, and they cannot rise above the 4-5th floor. And for harmful emissions from factories and enterprises of the city is still far away.
8-16 floors- there is an accumulation of the most harmful substances from pipes industrial enterprises... This is especially true of the districts of the city where such enterprises are located, since the radius, the distance of your house from a particular plant, is also important for the "harmfulness". That is, if you chose an apartment, albeit high, but far from harmful emissions, next to a forest on the outskirts of the city, the risks are minimal.
Criterion # 6.
Audibility from the street.
Whatever you say, the higher, the quieter. However, in addition to height, there are many factors that affect the level of street noise on a particular floor. For example, the reflection of sounds from the walls of a high-rise building, especially in boxyards (echo). The side where the windows face is also important.
On the lower floors, of course, absolutely everything is audible. If your windows face the road, you will listen, in best case, uniform hum of cars. Over time, many people get used to this noise.
But if your windows overlook the courtyard, consider that you will be aware of all grandmother's conversations at the entrance. Add to this the sounds from the playground, car signals in the yard, company gatherings at night, barking dogs and cat weddings, and more.
No matter what floor you live on, you need high-quality double-glazed windows for comfort.
Criterion No. 7.
Dust and dirt.
Usually the dirtiest part of the entrance is the 1st and 2nd floors. In addition, if the house does not have a fenced-in area, companies of young people can gather on the upper floors. If this factor is excluded, then the upper floors will be much cleaner than the lower ones.
If your windows overlook the roadway - get ready to carry out wet cleaning at home more often if you have chosen an apartment on floors 1-6. Above such dust rises less. If there is a construction next to the house, add construction dust here. It can rise up to the 9th floor and above. The side of the world, openness to the wind, etc. are also important here.
An important point - if the house has problems with communications, the basement, then wood lice and other unpleasant creatures appear on the first and even on the second floors. In addition, dampness can result in "chronic" mold and fungi. This is simply dangerous to health. If trees grow near the house that create a permanent shadow, it is practically impossible to remove the mold.
Criterion No. 8.
Insects.
Checked:
Komarov on the 1st and 5th floor flies the same way. Above them, there are already noticeably fewer, but nevertheless there are. Mosquitoes easily reach 8-9 floors (in calm weather). They practically do not rise further.
Flies rise higher - up to 10-11 floors. But their main concentration is up to 3-4 floors.
Midges can start at any height, as they "move" with debris, through ventilation shafts, and so on.
Spiders are extremely rare to settle high. Therefore, they are very rare above the 10th floor.
Criterion No. 9.
Light.
The lightest apartments are located above the 7th floor (of course, if the windows do not rest against the end of the neighboring house). The tallest trees remain below 6-7 floors.
If you love the sun, choose apartments with windows facing the sunny side and not obstructed by trees (be careful if you buy an apartment in winter - trees without foliage let in much more light than they will in summer.
Those who do not like the heat will have a hard time at a high altitude, especially if it is the sunny side.
Inna Adgamova, Avangard-Realt Academy of Sciences
Life from the first to the third floor usually takes place under the crowns of trees. Not far from the earth, you can listen for hours as a maple branch knocks on the window - in a word, from the point of view of psychological comfort, this is the best way to live: a real connection with the outside world is maintained, the habit of looking down at people does not develop.
But the "down-to-earth" life also has significant drawbacks: slow air circulation, impaired air exchange, increased shade and humidity. All this is liked by pathogenic fungi and bacteria, which in such a climate feel great and settle in concrete ceilings, climb into furniture and our lungs. Fungal spores can provoke bronchitis, pneumonia and trigger the mechanism of allergic reactions.
In the shade of trees, the grass grows poorly, and often the lawn under the windows of the apartment turns into a constantly dusty surface. In general, residents of the first floors suffer more than others from ground-level sources of pollution. Exhaust from cars, asphalt saturate the air with formaldehydes, carbon oxides, nitrogen ... But if the house is in the yard, then mechanical barriers in the form of neighboring buildings and trees take the brunt. So in a protected place, at least 200 m away from the motorway, you can breathe deeply even on the ground floor. But if there is no protection, problems arise, especially for the inhabitants of the prestigious third floor: harmful substances accumulate just at this height. Already at the 5th floor there are much fewer of them.
Self-defense techniques. It is better to ventilate a shaded apartment non-stop, and wash the floors as often as possible. Do not clog yourself in plastic sealed windows: when the window is closed, you run the risk of feeling like vegetables in a plastic bag.
In new buildings, housing is ventilated with a ventilation chamber that runs through all apartments. On the first floors, the thrust in this structure is the highest - in such a house the fungus will not take root.
Everyone living in a roadside space needs ionizers, purifiers, humidifiers: the artificial atmosphere in this case is better than the natural one.
In the skies
The higher the better, according to most: the air is cleaner, there is less noise, the view is more beautiful. However, according to most urban planning ecologists, you shouldn't climb above the 6th floor. The air in the skies is not so clean: after all, pipes of large and small enterprises fumigate any city, and the accumulation of harmful substances at an altitude of 30 m and higher can be very significant, especially if the wind is blowing in your direction.
Another invisible enemy that overpowers the inhabitants of high floors is the electromagnetic radiation emanating from electrical appliances. Of course, the wiring and the washing machine "fade" the same way on the first and 17th floors. but reinforced concrete structure does not allow electric waves to pass through, forcing them to circulate around the apartment and giving out part of the background for more high floors, right down to the attic. The higher, the stronger the cumulative background. It is believed that this is the reason why residents of the upper floors of Panlek are more likely to suffer from headaches and bad moods.
Self-defense techniques. You can avoid the pleasures of life in a powerful electromagnetic field by moving from a block house to a brick house or brick-monolithic structure, which do not accumulate harmful radiation inside themselves. As for the purity of the air, when buying an apartment, you should use the services of special environmental services: they can measure the composition of the air at your height and say which wind should not go out onto the balcony.
I can hear the bamboo growing
The main enemy of a citizen is noise, he is able to reach both the first and the 20th floor. But noise maps compiled by specialists show that sometimes the noise goes by the shortest route (the sound of the anti-theft system "knocks out" the windows on the first floor), and in other cases, the hum of the highway torments residents of the fifth or eighth floors.
It turns out that the path of the sound wave depends on the number of trees and large and small buildings in the path. Very often the noise does not reach the windows of the first floors, but it freely reaches the top, and the whisper of a couple sitting on the yard bench, "Man, kiss me!" or the rhythmic rustle of a janitor's broom reaches the occupant of a high-rise bedroom. Acoustics is also very important: in a courtyard-well, for example, the sound will reach the very top in an amplified form - the echo effect cannot be canceled.
Self-defense techniques. When choosing a place to live, go to the balcony and listen: can you hear what the grandmothers are talking about at the entrance? Study noise maps of the area and see which zone your apartment is in. And if the problem already exists, it can be solved with the help of anti-noise joinery. This is the name of the special design of windows with lattice vents: the sound wave is repeatedly reflected from them and loses its strength.
Important
From a bird's-eye view. According to the latest data from foreign scientists, every third person is afraid of heights. And if he lives on the upper floors of a high-rise building, he may develop a fear of enclosed space (claustrophobia) or a fear of open space (agoraphobia).
The upper floors of high-rise buildings vibrate, and the higher the floor, the stronger the vibration. Sometimes it can exceed the permissible values and affect certain structures of the brain, affecting nervous system person. No lift. Walking up stairs reduces the weight of men, but does not have the same effect on women. The study of how life on the middle floors affects the weight of city dwellers was carried out in 8 European cities among 2846 people. It turned out that men living on 4 floors have on average less weight compared to men living on 1 floors if their house does not have an elevator. In women, this dependence is not observed.
Men have more muscles and they expend more energy than women when performing the same movements. Climbing stairs is similar to playing sports, and it can really be an aid in weight loss.
Penthouse toy. It is good to view the capital you conquered through the transparent facade of the penthouse. However, according to the architects, this fashionable all over the world housing in our conditions is still nothing more than a toy. The Russian climate and imperfect construction technologies seriously shorten the trouble-free life of the penthouse owner. First, the roof will leak in at least a couple of years. Secondly, not everyone can stand life in seventh heaven. The first symptom that you are bothered by the height and transparency is the desire to hang blackout curtains on the glass walls of the living room. Finally, an important detail: in the event of a fire, all hope is only for a helicopter - our fire lifts are designed for a maximum of 90 meters.
Home for a child. Psychologists and environmentalists are sure: if you want children to grow up healthy, you don't have to climb higher than the fifth floor. Wherein good view from the window is a must: years of contemplation brick wall and the garage cooperative can subsequently cause unaccountable aggressiveness towards the world and itself. If outside the window there is a dull monotonous landscape of a sleeping area, you need to go out into nature more often, get out for walks in the historical districts of the city - in a word, get impressions on the side. Otherwise, depression and depression in a child cannot be avoided.
Ideal housing has clear criteria: it is a low-rise building (no more than 6-7), inscribed in a good landscape: on the one hand - a park, on the other - water; by the way, both are excellent filters that keep out dirt and dust. You can live in such a house on any floor without damage to health.
